On the 29th June 2020, the Health Secretary confirmed a local lockdown for Leicester City, which also included some surrounding areas of Leicestershire County. This also includes Oadby, Wigston and South Wigston.
This will represent a change for constituents living and working in the borough, including the closure of non-essential retail and schools. Travel must also be limited to essential travel to avoid further spread in the area.
