Neil O'Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston visited Robert Smyth Academy on the 14th December, for the unveiling of their new exhibition linked to the suffrage movement.
Earlier this year, Neil also welcomed the pupils involved in the project to Parliament, which formed part of the research involved in the work.
Neil said, "The students have worked incredibly hard on this project, which has uncovered some fascinating stories from local people who were part of the movement to ensure the right to vote was secured.
Having spoke to them a few months ago in Parliament about their work, it was great to be able to see the end product and be there for the launch of their exhibition. They should rightly feel very proud of their work in remembering the contributions of those who have gone before us."
