Neil O’Brien, MP for Harborough, has welcomed news that work on a footbridge over the railway in Little Bowden is finally about to start. Following the closure of the pedestrian crossing in 2015, work will commence shortly to link Glebe Road and Braybrooke Road, with a view to completion before Christmas.
Neil O’Brien said: “I have been chasing the Department for Transport to get on with building this bridge and am pleased to hear that work will be commencing soon.
It caused a lot of inconvenience when the pedestrian crossing was closed, so I’m sure people locally will be pleased with this news.
I’m continuing to press for other railway improvements locally, including the extension of electrification to Market Harborough”
