Neil O'Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston organised a meeting in Great Glen on Friday 20th April, to discuss the removal of trees on Devana Way.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Miller Homes, Leicestershire County Council and some local residents, to discuss trees which had been planted on the new development but subsequently removed.
Neil O'Brien said, "This is a matter local residents feel strongly about and have contacted my office to make representations on, so it was useful to discuss this with them, as well as the developers and County Council.
The trees have already been removed, so our discussion centred around what solutions existed which might ameliorate the current situation, in a way which would suit all relevant parties and stakeholders.
I was pleased to hear both the developers and County Council representatives agreeing in principle to look at this issue again, to explore what could be done here. I look forward to continuing to work with all parties to find a resolution here."
