Neil O’Brien, MP for Harborough, has welcomed confirmation from the Chancellor that up to 660 small businesses across Harborough District stand to gain from a reduction up to 33% off their business rates bill.
During Treasury questions on Tuesday 6th November, Neil asked the Chancellor about the benefits to small businesses alongside a question concerning the newly announced ‘digital tax’. This new tax seeks to level the playing field to ensure large global technology-based companies pay a fair share of tax.
