Neil O'Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston, visited the Masjid Al-Ameen in Oadby as part of the national #VisitmyMosque initiative.
The initiative is designed to raise awareness and build bridges across communities.
Neil said, "It was a pleasure to visit the Oadby Mosque on this important day, and meet so many people from across the area.
It was great to see many representatives of other faith groups in attendance on the day also, which is testament to the strength of community relations across Oadby between different faith and non-faith groups.
Oadby is a prime example of people enjoying and celebrating different religions and cultures and the hospitality shown to one another is always exemplary"
