Neil O'Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston, visited Oadby Central Surgery to discuss primary care and tackling issues of loneliness and isolation.
During the visit, Neil met with clinical staff as well as the reception team. Alongside discussing recent changes to the Practice's appointment system and use of technology, the topic of loneliness and isolation was also discussed.
Neil said, "This was a really useful and informative visit, and I'm grateful to the team for taking the time to share their experience with me. We had a fascinating conversation on loneliness and the impact this can have on patients.
As part of the work from the loneliness session we held in Oadby recently, we'll be looking further at where there is scope for joint working between key stakeholders and agencies, to work together to tackle loneliness and other issues presenting."
