Neil O'Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston visited the Bassett Street Centre in South Wigston, which has recently been taken over by local charity Menphys.
Menphys are currently carrying out work to the centre, which will host a new library, cafe as well as meeting rooms and facilities that will be available to hire by local community groups and organisations.
Neil said, "I'm really pleased that Menphys are taking over the running of this important site in South Wigston. It has the potential to once again play an important role in the local community and their exciting plans for the centre are very welcome in this regard.
I'd encourage people to get in touch once it's opened, if they're interested in booking any of the space they have available there. I'm also looking to host a constituency surgery there in the near future."
