Neil O’Brien, MP for Harborough, supported world cancer day 2019 in Parliament at an event hosted by Cancer Research UK.
Neil said, “Cancer survival rates are at their highest ever level – thousands more now survive cancer ever year which is very welcome news.
However, there is always more we can do to improve outcomes and I welcome the Government’s plans to do so. This will include the introduction of a faster diagnosis standard and increase the proportion of cancers diagnosed at stage one and two, which would further improve survival rates here.”
