Neil O’Brien, MP for Harborough met with a representative of the Post Office, to discuss the ongoing provisions in Market Harborough.
Neil met in Parliament with Richard Hall, External Affairs Manager for the Post Office to understand further details about their plans to ensure the continuation of a service in Market Harborough.
Neil said, “I stressed the urgent need to find an alternative location for a post office in Market Harborough town centre, and the need to avoid or minimise any gap in services while a new post office franchise is awarded.
The Post Office can be in no doubt about how important this community service is to my constituents.
Richard told me that there have already been a number of expressions of interest in running a town centre branch of the post office. I know that Harborough District are also being active in encouraging new operators to come forward.
I hope this can be resolved as quickly as possible in the coming months.”
