Neil O'Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston has praised the efforts of '7 events' after meeting Jitesh Chauhan in Oadby recently.
Jitesh and other volunteers at 7 events through various fundraising initiatives, purchased a new defibrillator for St Peter's in Oadby parade. Sadly the device was stolen a few weeks ago, though replaced thanks to 7 events organising a justgiving page and receiving a number of donations towards a new machine.
Neil said, "Like many people, I was bitterly disappointed to hear the St Peter's defibrillator had been stolen. These are life-saving devices and nobody knows when they might be needed, so to hear it was stolen was terrible.
But I'd like to praise Jitesh and other volunteers for leading efforts towards purchasing a replacement machine. So many people came forward to generously donate to such a good cause, which was great to see."
