Neil O’Brien, MP for Harborough was recently joined in Parliament by members of the Kibworth and Fleckney Rotary Club.
Approximately forty members of the Club visited Parliament, where they were taken on a tour of the Palace of Westminster, including access to both the Commons and Lords Debate Chambers.
After the tour, they were joined in one of the committee rooms by Neil O’Brien MP for a Q&A session, followed by a visit to the Parliamentary terrace for a group picture. The visit concluded with a visit to St Mary’s Undercroft, which dates back to 1297 having been initially completed by King Edward I.
Neil said, “It was a pleasure to welcome the Rotary Club to Parliament, having visited them a few months ago in Kibworth. Their members work incredibly hard on a range of different projects and good causes across Kibworth and Fleckney, and it was great to hear more about this during their visit.
Rotary clubs across the constituency and country play a very important role in society and helping to give back to the community, so I’d certainly encourage people to get involved and join.
If any other groups, charities or organisations reading this would like to visit Parliament, please do get in touch as I’d be only too happy to arrange this.”
