Neil O’Brien, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston has picked a winner for his inaugural Christmas Card competition.
The competition was open to primary school students across the constituency, to design the front of Neil’s 2018 Christmas card, which will be sent to charities, businesses and other local stakeholders.
The winning design came from Sophia Slaughter, aged 11, of Farndon Fields Primary School. Neil visited the school on Friday 14th December to present Sophia with a certificate and prize for her contribution, at an end of year assembly.
Neil said, “I would like to congratulate Sophia for being chosen as the winner for my first Christmas card competition. We had a number of excellent entries, so I’d like to thank all schools who participated in the competition; I look forward to their entries next year. Many outstanding designs were submitted which made it extremely difficult to choose just one winner!”
