Stopping illegal immigration

Illegal immigration is unfair, dangerous and fuels criminality. I will do whatever it takes to stop the small boats coming across the channel.

France is a perfectly safe country and there's no good reason people should be leaving France to claim asylum here. People who have played by the rules and come here legally can see that it is unfair for others to force their way in and bypass all the normal checks that we carry out to prevent dangerous people and criminals coming here.

I have been one of the most active MPs on this issue and have written numerous articles in newspapers and pressed ministers on this by asking many questions in Parliament. I will continue to work on this issue, and to press the Government to take action.

Neil O'Brien leads parliamentary debate on illegal immigration

Neil O'Brien this week secured a Parliamentary debate on illegal immigration, and and used it to ask some questions about where the government is going on this issue. Neil took the opportunity to put some important questions to Dame Angela Eagle, Minister of State for Border Security and Asylum
